Of course, the manufacturer usually has adjusted it, but some pumps need to be adjusted after on-site maintenance.
I think the main purpose of center line coincidence is to reduce hydraulic losses and improve efficiency. As for adding or subtracting gaskets and turning bushings, they are all positioning methods for the fitter to adjust the axial position of the rotor impeller.
Flow channel alignment is required not only for cantilever pumps, but also for multi-stage pumps, all in order to reduce hydraulic losses.~
