Help me guess what the abbreviation I/Vs stands for

This post was last edited by rocy on 2009-12-28 at 11:49. Steam Charging – Open all drains and vents I/Vs in the header of the respective circuit that needs to be blown. Open all the drain and vent I/Vs located in the header of each circuit that requires purging. If there is no bypass I/V available, then crack open the main steam pipe I/V. This is a passage describing the process of steam purging; I’m not sure what the abbreviation I/V stands for – could anyone help? Also, what should “Crack open” and “header” be translated as in that context?
