Activated carbon absorption of low-concentration organic waste gas

Our factory used to produce polyethylene glycol; now it also manufactures polyethers used as water reducers. During the nitrogen displacement process in the production of polyethers, a certain amount of enols (such as acrolein or butenol) are released, and these substances have a strong odor. Tests showed that the total amount of non-methyl hydrocarbons was approximately 2200 mg/Nm³, which does not meet the **emission standards**. Once upon a time, there was an absorption tower, but it couldn’t be used due to the cold weather; therefore, it was decided to convert it into an adsorption tower. Activated carbon was planned to be installed inside this tower. Since the amount of exhaust gas was low, there was no need to recover the activated carbon. I would like to ask experts what type of activated carbon offers a lower price while still providing good adsorption performance.
