I haven’t used Caesar; we still use the older version of GLIF. Generally, when I perform calculations on pipe stress, I do it up to the device interface – that is, I determine the initial thermal position of the device’s pipe connections, as mentioned earlier. Then the thrust exerted by the pipeline on the equipment can be calculated. This is what I do for larger devices. I built a steam ejector device some time ago. It is relatively small, and the equipment is also considered as part of the pipeline. Calculate up to the fixed bracket. Our program works like this. It can end at a node (either a free end or a fixed end; just define that node). The calculation results are quite similar to those obtained by comparing the device outlets; they are essentially the same.
In CII, initial displacement can be added to the equipment modeling; this value can be calculated manually or provided by other specialists (if possible). If you think the value provided by others may not be appropriate, you can carry out the modeling yourself. If CII modeling is done in the same way as pipeline construction, it is necessary to determine parameters such as operating temperature, design temperature, design pressure, and material based on the equipment drawings. At the location of the nozzles, master-slave connections are used, that is, the CNODE points (equipment nozzle nodes). By constructing the equipment in this manner, the software will automatically calculate the thermal expansion of that section of the equipment and its impact on the pipelines.

At the very least, we need to know how to do the calculations ourselves; even if someone provides us with the data, we can still carry out the calculations!
