Even with metal-based film evaporators, when the material being processed is sticky or forms clumps, scraping of the cylinder walls can occur if the evaporator is not properly designed, manufactured, or operated, which can cause significant damage to the scraper or the cylinder. Enameled material is more fragile than porcelain, and it cannot be used for the cylinder body.

I have seen glass-lined film-evaporators at a equipment manufacturing company in Wuxi.
We have used titanium film-evaporation evaporators, and the results were good; the original poster might want to give them a consideration. The use of glass-lined materials is not recommended.
Glass-lined evaporators can be used, mainly to reduce costs; the performance is good at first but deteriorates over time. If funding is not a concern, it is better to use titanium for construction.
