What is the difference between Type B and Type BA of shielded pumps, and what does the coupling mean?
Type B shielded pumps should be of the high-temperature separation type. Shielded pumps come in basic types (FA and F types), reverse circulation types (R, RA), high-temperature separation types (B type), and self-priming types (D type). The coupling serves only to connect the pump body flange to the motor flange; it is not necessary when the outer diameters of the pump body flange and the motor flange match. I only know about type B; as for type BA, I haven’t seen it yet. I was wondering if anyone could provide some information on it. Thank you!
BA is the basic type, while G is the high-temperature type
