Is the corrosion of circulating water serious?

The facility was upgraded, and the heat exchangers were replaced. The original water coolers had TH901 anti-corrosion coating on their circulation water side, but the new heat exchangers do not have this coating. Over time, could the material on the circulation water side get corroded?
According to the regulations of Sinopec Corporation, the circulating water side of heat exchangers must be treated with TH901 for corrosion protection; it is clear then that corrosion does occur

Circulating water has limited corrosivity, which mainly depends on the chloride content or the concentration of other destructive ions in it.
