I’ve never heard of the term \"fan shui well\" before; it must refer to a water seal well. A water seal well is a safety device that is installed in the sewage pipelines of petroleum and chemical plants where there are flammable gases, volatile liquid vapors, or oil contaminants, and its purpose is to prevent fires and explosions from spreading along those pipelines. The water level in the water seal well should not be less than 250 mm of water column height. A collection well is a well with a large diameter, used to gather and store groundwater. Construction sump wells are wells dug around a building to create localized water accumulation, facilitating its drainage and enabling construction in the foundation pit without water. A sump well, sometimes also referred to as a inspection well, is a circular well made of bricks with a cover, installed at regular intervals while laying underground pipes, or at turns. It facilitates regular pipeline inspection and cleaning.
