Specification details: A217GR.WC6 #5 300 RF BB.OS&Y VAF335P ASME B16.10 (VO5), gear-driven. Please help with the selection! It would be best to explain what these symbols mean as well. I only found the following: 300: Pressure class CL300; RF: Flanged connection; BB: Bolted valve cover; OS&Y: Stem-mounted type
Valve body material: A217GR.WC6 #5 Pressure class: CL300 Flange type: RF Threaded valve cover: BB (sometimes, OS&Y and BB are abbreviated as OBB) OS&Y: Stem-mounted Valve stem/seat material: VAF335P ASME B16.10
#What does 5 mean? What material is VAF335P?

Examples of similar valve types include VAF32315; 12\" V (valve type), A (gate valve), F (flange connection), 3 (nominal pressure), 2 (cast valve body), 3 (main material), 15 (sealing material). Specific details can be found in the standard. OS&Y: handwheel
May I ask about the valve designation for VAF335P? It’s like VAF32315: 12\" V (valve type), A (gate valve), F (flange connection), 3 (nominal pressure)… What is this standard? ! !

VAF335P is the valve code; there is no standard for American standards, and each design institute and manufacturer assigns a different one. Additionally, here are the meanings of the other codes: 14〞: The valve diameter is 14 inches, which is equivalent to DN350 ; A217 GR.WC6: The valve body material is A217 WC6 (a type of chromium-molybdenum alloy steel) ; CL300: The valve pressure rating is CL300 ; #5: The valve internals are API#5 ; RF: The sealing surface at the valve end is an RF surface ; BB.OS&Y: The valve structure type is plug-type bonnet (BB) with visible stem support (OS&Y) ; VAF335P: Valve code ; ASME B16.10: The standard for the nominal length of valves is ASME B16.10 ;
American standard gate valve, nominal diameter 14”, valve body material alloy steel, pressure class 300LB; RF connection type – raised face flange, internal components VAF335P, standard length per ASME B16.10
VAF335P is the valve code, right? The design institute should have a dedicated valve data sheet
