Our company has a small catalytic unit built in 2008; the diesel produced by it does not go through a hydrogenation process, so the quality of the diesel is very poor. I wonder if other sailors are facing the same issue, and how you guys discharge diesel! Thank you

Diesel that has been treated with alkali is generally acceptable and can be sold to small gas stations.

The diesel goes through electro-refining, and then a decolorization unit is used, and that’s it.
Small factories generally use 16-alkane modifiers. If the color is not satisfactory, decolorization and deodorization are carried out first, followed by the addition of 16-alkane modifiers. If there is a high amount of gel-like components or ash, filtration is necessary first, such as using sand filters or acid-base treatments.
I have a similar small device here; after distilling diesel, it undergoes acid-base purification and then filtration, and then there are no problems. I’ve conducted analytical tests, and aside from a slightly higher boiling range, all other parameters of this diesel meet the standards
