What is the setpoint range for self-acting control valves, and how is it calculated? What does the adjustment range refer to? Could someone experienced give me some advice?
The adjustment range and setpoint range of a self-acting control valve should be one single range, namely the range that the spring can adjust the valve over from fully closed to fully open.
The setpoint range for self-acting control valves should be provided by the user to the manufacturer in advance; the manufacturer will then select the appropriate spring based on these requirements. If the range exceeds the allowable limits, it is sufficient to replace the spring
It is a bellows that provides micro-pressure, not a spring. The manufacturer sets it according to the customer’s requirements.
