Another year has passed. What do everyone think are the prospects for the chemical industry next year?
There won’t be any significant improvement! Especially in the design industry, it’s quite difficult! Just my personal opinion!

It depends on the global economic situation. It’s really difficult; even as a worker, one has to keep an eye on the global economy, which is harder than being a professor

A few days ago I attended a lecture by a professor; the prospects in the petrochemical industry look quite good. As the focus of this industry shifts to the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, there will be plenty of work for various design institutes in China! I’ve been working for four years now, and I think the petrochemical industry should do well next year – the worst times for this industry in 2008 are behind us. However, I feel that whether the industry does well or not has nothing to do with me anymore; my salary is fixed, so there’s nothing much to discuss, and I’ve reached a point where I’m indifferent to my work.
