In a supervision company, should the term for \"supervision\" be consulting or supervising? The term \"supervision company\" is also a term with Chinese characteristics; in my opinion, its functions are similar to those of professional consulting firms abroad, but **there do indeed exist so-called consulting companies as well. Abroad, for the projects I’ve been involved in, usually the owner themselves or a Project Manager or Inspector is hired to oversee the project’s progress and quality control； For large-scale projects, specialized companies are hired to handle Project Management and Supervision. If you search for “Project Supervision” on Google, you can find some large engineering companies that offer such Project Supervision services. There are many such companies that also often carry out consulting work (providing technical consultation services related to engineering design, specifications, construction, operation, etc.), and perhaps this is why some people mix together the two distinct services of project supervision and consulting.
