When there is a power outage in the entire plant and there is no external 3.5MP steam, what should be done to protect the conversion catalyst to the maximum extent?
The steam comes from the boiler, and the electric valve can be changed to manual. There is no self-produced steam, and the problem will be huge if the external steam stops. I have the impression that similar accidents have occurred in domestic factories.
The 3.5MP steam used for hydrogen production is self-produced. Our factory does not have a 3.5MP steam pipe network.
The self-produced steam is enough for protection. After a power outage, purge the furnace tube for 10 minutes, and then stop the steam after the steam temperature drops to the dew point.
When the whole plant has a power outage, the induced draft fans and blowers of the reformer are all stopped, and the gas desorption gas of the furnace is completely stopped. The boiler and superheated steam have no heating source. Can the temperature of the superheated steam be guaranteed? Will water get in? In that case, the catalyst will be crushed.

If there is a problem, the steam delivery can be turned down until it is shut down. However, when the whole plant has a power outage and there is no steam, it can only be dealt with in a stuffy bed.
There is no problem that the self-produced steam can be maintained for 10 minutes in the event of a plant-wide power outage. Just look at the steam temperature, conversion inlet temperature and time. We have dealt with power outages many times, and there is no problem.
