Our factory uses screw-type low-temperature brine units to cool heat exchangers; what is the impact of the specifications of the refrigerant brine on these units?
When the temperature of the refrigerant brine is low, the evaporation pressure of the refrigerant is low as well, which results in a low suction pressure in the compressor. This increases the compression ratio, thereby raising electrical power consumption and leading to higher energy costs. Therefore, within the limits permitted by the process conditions, increasing the brine temperature appropriately helps to reduce energy consumption.
