Where can registered chemical engineers look for jobs?

I passed the exam and can apply for jobs there. What’s the typical salary? Is it true that one can only work at design firms and cannot do anything else? But in China, as long as you pass the exams, you’re considered qualified; it’s unclear what level of skill one actually has
