What is the function of the three-valve assembly of the vent valve in the top vent manifold of the spherical tank? Is it used for venting during gas (nitrogen) displacement? Is that correct?
I’m not quite sure what you mean. In my opinion, there is usually only one pipeline opening on the top of a spherical tank – for the safety valve, which is used for discharge. The weatherproof cables are gathered together through manifolds, and a primary valve is installed before they connect to the tank. This way, the number of openings on the top of the spherical tank can be reduced; moreover, if something happens outside, it’s sufficient to close the tank base valve.
It’s about venting the gas used for displacement; generally, two valves are sufficient.
