After commissioning, SO2 emissions will **decrease**, and will be well below the levels specified by environmental authorities. Due to the high operating costs of flue gas desulfurization, the company’s management plans to operate this facility intermittently, as long as the total amount of SO2 emitted does not exceed the allowed limits. I wonder if any of you sea friends have encountered similar situations – is it appropriate to do this?
Where is it? Could you reveal that? It’s probably not possible to disconnect the catalytic flue gas system intermittently, as doing so could lead to corrosion at the connection points.

The operating costs are very high; it’s several tens of millions per year! It seems that there aren’t many companies in the country that use this device; however, all new projects now have to use it, and Beihai Petrochemical is planning to adopt it as well.
