I am looking at the drawing of the sulfur acid water device stripping tower solvent regeneration tower. Is it okay if the safety valves are placed at the bottom of the tower? I have been exposed to them before and they were placed at the top of the tower.
What I see is usually at the top of the tower, not very common below, and it doesn't feel very convenient and safe.

Hydrogen sulfide can cause corrosion to equipment. In the tower, hydrogen sulfide is removed from the top of the tower. Therefore, the safety valve is set at the bottom of the tower.
I personally think that it is best to place the safety valve on the top of the tower, because this way it is generally less likely to produce a liquid seal, which also improves the reliability of the safety valve.
