What do COUPLING, SCD NPT mean? Thank you!
SCD=security coding device, a device for security coding; NPT=normal pressure and temperature, standard pressure and temperature conditions
Coupling: Connector. NPT: American standard taper pipe thread. SCD: Please advise those with more experience

5# Michael529: As for SCD here, it’s difficult to figure out what it means without any context; therefore, it’s suggested not to wait for any experts – after all, even experts need sufficient information in order to make a judgment. Also, words like coupling and NPT can probably be found via Google or Baidu; try to be diligent on your own.

In pipeline material coupling, SCD could be SCRD
SCRD refers to threads, which are present in pipeline design; the material specifications on the single-line diagram also mention it
It’s not a guess; this is exactly what I received. Then there are the pipe size designation and DN value – nothing else
In pipelines, COUPLING generally refers to a half-pipe fitting. If the original poster has used the punctuation correctly: COUPLING, SCD NPT – here, SCD NPT describes the type of connection for that COUPLING (which is usually either socket welding or threaded connection). SCRD=SCREWED. It’s just strange that it’s abbreviated as SCD here; perhaps it’s to keep up with the trend toward low carbon.
