There is a heat exchanger currently in use, with the shell side made of carbon steel, the tube side made of titanium, and the tube sheet being a titanium composite plate. There is one issue: 1. If baffle plates are made of carbon steel, could this lead to contamination of the titanium tubes? Is stainless steel more suitable? 2. Is it also more appropriate to use stainless steel as the base layer for titanium composite sheets? 3. If what was said above is true, then titanium composite sheets also have standards that involve carbon steel plus titanium, right?

The issue of iron ion corrosion relates to the interface where the media come into contact; if the shell side is in contact with water vapor, the titanium surface can be in contact with iron. Let me explain the manufacturing process we use for titanium containers: The sheet metal is rolled into a cylindrical shape; an 0.2mm thick aluminum sheet is placed on the inner side of the titanium sheet, while the outer side can come into direct contact with the rollers of the rolling machine (the rollers are made of chromium steel) ； If both the inner and outer sides need to come into contact with the material, aluminum plates must be installed on top and bottom.
