A few days ago, the system stopped operating due to a controller switch; I’m not sure what caused it. The technician said it might be because the configuration didn’t meet their specifications. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
We are using DELTAV 8.4 here; we have not switched controllers, so we have not encountered this issue
That can’t be right; switching controllers will stop the vehicle? If it’s a redundant controller, it won’t stop.
The DeltaV controllers are redundant; one controller operates while the other is in standby mode, and no manual switching of controllers is required during normal operation. Unless a problem is detected with one of the controllers, manually replacing the controller may result in the accidental removal of a controller that is functioning properly, thereby causing an operational error.
