Let’s discuss what material is used for the packing in the benzene washing tower at your plant How often should it be replaced?
Let’s talk! Our factory specializes in stainless steel corrugated plate packing!
Wavy mesh, lightweight porcelain. The lightweight ceramic filler has been in use for 6 years, and the corrugated mesh has been in use for 1 year; neither has shown any problems.
The stainless steel corrugated plate has been in use for 5 years without any need for replacement; normal production is ongoing!
Our unit has been in use for six years without any replacement
The corrugated plate stainless steel structured packing has not shown any signs of corrosion after being in use for just over a year.
The packing used in the benzene washing towers of most coking plants is 250Y type stainless steel perforated corrugated packing, and it can operate without issues for up to 5 years
The service life of the packing in the benzene washing tower is closely related to the process operations. Our factory ensures that the slag discharge cycle from the regenerator is 4 days; it is strictly prohibited to allow water to be present in the lean oil stream, and the temperature of the gas entering the benzene washing tower is maintained at around 25 degrees Celsius. Strict control of process parameters is fundamental to ensuring the long-term use of the filler.
Stainless steel orifice plate corrugated packing – 5 years old, about to fail soon
Stainless steel corrugated plate packing generally lasts for 5 years without issues
Under normal circumstances, stainless steel should last about 5 years with no problems. But the market is currently full of mixed quality products, especially in the filler sector, where 70% of the products fail to meet the required standards. Together with the differences in users’ gas purification processes, these factors ultimately also affect the service life of the packing. So it is generally lower than the normal design life.
