The liquid chlorine vaporization production area can be classified as a non-explosion-proof area if it can be confirmed that there is no possibility of the presence of flammable gases. However, due to the toxicity and corrosiveness of chlorine gas, the protection of all instruments must be strictly controlled. At the same time, chlorine leak detection on site is also essential. It is recommended to choose instruments with a protection rating of IP65 or higher; furthermore, for many cast aluminum gauges, an anti-corrosion coating should be applied, or they should be installed in protective cabinets and cleaned using clean air blown through them. For individual meter dials that cannot be installed in a centralized manner, wrapping them in transparent plastic bags is an option; although it’s a simple method, it is effective.
