Low-temperature valves fail to close properly after gas (liquid) has flowed through them for a while – is it due to ice forming inside the valve or the contraction of its components? Is there any good way to prevent this from happening again?
It’s probably a quality issue with your valves; this kind of problem rarely occurs with our LNG valves. It’s better to buy imported ones
Ours is also LNG. Regarding this “replacement” you mentioned, I don’t think it’s the best solution.
It might be a problem with the quality of the valves. I wonder which manufacturer’s valves you chose and what is their model number? We use Chuan Kong valves, and they also often fail to close properly; we suspect that the spring force used for resetting the piston actuator is not sufficient.

What type of valve are they referring to? Is it a globe valve or a ball valve? And if it has a piston, is it an emergency shut-off valve?
The line valve should be heated with hot water
It doesn’t close properly; there are many possible reasons (freezing, component shrinkage, etc.). The material of the valve body is definitely a key factor; in low-temperature conditions, stainless steel valve bodies and PTFE valve seats are generally used.
I wonder if the valve has been opened to check; could there be debris or something similar inside the valve core? Or maybe the valve core or the valve body is damaged? If it’s a self-regulating valve, then it’s also possible that there’s a problem with the actuator. Could that be ruled out? Of course, the design of the valve itself might not be very reasonable either
The information on the material should be correct. First, check whether there are any residues inside the valve body, and examine the integrity of the components. If everything is fine, it might be a quality issue with the valve body itself
