Regarding alternatives to lightning protection grounding

At our construction site, the structure of the compressed factory building is made of 0.6-thick color steel sheets; for lightning protection and grounding, brackets are installed on top of these color steel sheets, and then lightning protection wires are attached to them. Since the height of the compressed factory building is relatively high (26 meters) and the color steel sheets are thin, it is very dangerous for workers to work on that structure. We are now considering using the roof of the compressed factory building as a lightning strike conductor, in order to replace those wires. We wonder if this is possible. Could anyone among you please help us with this?
According to Article 4.1.4 of the Code for Design of Lightning Protection of Buildings (GB50057-94), when there are flammable materials beneath a metal plate, its thickness shall not be less than 4 mm. In the design, it is likely that the compression plant is considered an explosion-hazardous area; since 0.6 mm is less than 4 mm, the lightning protection strip cannot be removed.
Article 4.1.4 of the Code for Design of Lightning Protection of Buildings GB50057-1994(2000): Except for buildings classified as Category I lightning protection buildings, buildings with metal roofs should utilize their roofs as lightning receptors, and shall meet the following requirements: When overlapping is used between metal sheets, the overlap length shall not be less than 100 mm； II. When there are no flammable materials beneath the metal plate, its thickness should not be less than 0.5 mm ； III. When there are flammable materials beneath the metal plate, its thickness should be no less than 4 mm for iron plates, no less than 5 mm for copper plates, and no less than 7 mm for aluminum plates ； IV. The metal plate has no insulating coating. 0.6mm colored tiles can be used as lightning arresters if there are no flammable or explosive materials beneath them; however, there must be a good electrical connection between the tiles and the down conductors.
