How to choose a thickener?

There is currently a weakly alkaline solution (sodium carbonate) with a solid content of 40%. The problem is that the solid particles (most of which are below 80 mesh) settle too easily. The temperature of the solution is 200 degrees; I am looking for a thickening agent that can prevent the solids from settling too quickly. If anyone knows something about this, please advise. Thank you!
