Yes, venting during thunderstorms is very likely to cause a fire.
Safety comes first. It is best to put combustible materials in the torch. If the oxygen content exceeds the standard and cannot be placed in the torch, a flame arrester must be added to the atmosphere. You cannot use mobile phones at gas stations, let alone LNG factories.
The possibility is high. Generally, if you encounter such a situation, you can close the vent stop valve. The backfire will not enter the pipe for too long.； If there is a nitrogen pipe connected, you can close the LNG vent stop valve and properly enter nitrogen for dilution.
