Technical assistance: Connection type for valves in large circulation water pipes

I would like to ask: for large circulation water pipes with a diameter greater than 1000 mm, is the connection method between the pipes, as well as the connection to the valves, flange connection? If it is a flange connection, why can’t plate flat welding flanges be selected according to HG/T 20613? Only necked flat welding flanges are available, and fine-threaded bolts have to be used as fasteners

Flanges should still be used for connection.
Our factory uses flange connections; the flanges are of the European type with a neck, but coarse-threaded bolts can be used.
Agreed, that’s what we do as well.
