Experts: What are the differences between lining a pipe or container with rubber and lining it with PO? What is the scope of application? What is the difference in uses?
They are all corrosion-resistant plastics; the main difference lies in their temperature resistance PO: Polyolefin, operating temperature range of around -20 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. F46: Perfluoroethylene propylene, operating temperature range of around -20 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. PTFE (F4): Polytetrafluoroethylene, operating temperature range of around -20 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit; it has a low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties, but it is very hard and cannot be processed by injection molding. PFA is soluble tetrafluoroethylene; it can operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to 200 degrees. However, it offers better performance in terms of creep resistance, compressive strength, tensile strength, and flame retardancy compared to PTFE, which allows it to be processed into finished products using thermoplastic methods.
