For the lifting equipment we need on-site, a 400-ton crawler crane is required; all crawler cranes are assembled on site. So, how long does it take to assemble a 400-ton crane?
It depends on how high your boom assembly is; generally, it takes 5-7 days
The pole is over 80 meters long, and a lifting counterweight is also installed
At my previous workplace, with a boom length of 53 meters, the assembly time was 3 days, while with a boom length of 78 meters, it was 4 days. The above is the net alignment time after all components have arrived.
The poster is referring to the assembly after the crane delivers it to the site; generally, it takes 4 days to assemble the entire unit. It mainly depends on the skill level of the crane operator, as well as the boom and jacking weights; the minimum time required is 7 days.
