That’s before evaporation starts. What about during production? Is there any good, quick way to find it?
It should not be possible to detect it during production; when the vacuum level decreases during normal operation, it is generally treated as a process issue rather than a equipment problem
If, during normal operation, the vacuum level cannot be increased due to equipment leaks, it indicates that the leakage is significant; it should be relatively easy to locate the source of the leak on site.
It’s just that the leakage isn’t significant; the vacuum level doesn’t reach the desired threshold. Here, leaks often occur in the separator area
When checking for defects, start by examining the flange connections; If there are no problems, proceed to check the equipment welds.

How to control the pressure at various points in the evaporation system
In actual production, using soapy water is rather troublesome; it’s recommended to fill the entire system with water under slight pressure and carefully inspect the areas around the flanges. This method is simpler, in my opinion
When we suspect there are leaks, we wrap most of the suspected areas with asbestos cloth and then pour resin glue on it, which works quite well. However, to identify the specific leakage points, positive pressure is used to detect leaks during evaporation shutdown.
