A steam trap and a check valve are installed on the medium-pressure steam pipeline. In what order should they be installed – the steam trap first and then the check valve, or the check valve first and then the steam trap? What is the reason for this? There is a standard for this installation; could an expert give some guidance? Thank you
First, install the steam trap, and then install the check valve; the check valve prevents water in the condensate collection pipe from flowing back into the steam trap pipeline due to excessive pressure.
