Is the valve stem cast or forged?

I would like to ask everyone: for valves such as ball valves and globe valves, is the valve stem generally cast or forged?
Valve stems are generally available in both cast and forged forms; it depends on what type of valve you choose
They are generally forged; I’ve never seen any cast ones. I would appreciate some guidance from those who know more.

There are those that are cast, as well as those that are forged.
This post was last edited by hendryben on 2010-1-14 09:24, except for those made of cemented carbide. It shouldn’t be divided in this way. It’s just a bar material, drawn either cold or hot. Neither castings nor forgings are.
The API specifications require it to be forged.
Which clause of that API standard specifies it? Haven’t seen it before? I’ve learned it~.
It is usually in the form of bars or forged products; there are multiple bars, after all, the cost is lower that way
