It is best to spray water on the vacuum pump. Water-jet vacuum pumps have the strongest adaptability to solvents in dry conditions. When connecting the pipelines, a buffer tank with a liquid level gauge (liquid storage tank) is installed in front of the pump, and nitrogen is introduced along with venting at the vacuum extraction port of the dryer. The vacuum pump’s water tank is cooled by cooling water.
Oil-free vertical reciprocating vacuum pumps or Roots pumps are energy-efficient, water-saving, and require less space; they can achieve a high level of vacuum purity, and they facilitate the clean recovery of exhaust gases without the risk of backflow caused by a faulty check valve. This results in high efficiency and a better production environment. It’s much better than the wastewater pollution caused by water-driven pumps.
If there are no requirements, any pump will do. The key lies in the specific process requirements; for more details, one can examine the characteristics of various vacuum pumps. Solvent recovery is required – a liquid ring pump with a condenser is used. High vacuum levels are needed – rotary vane pump systems or multi-stage jet pumps can be employed (depending on the volume of gas to be evacuated) ……
