Our company’s current reverse osmosis system is experiencing the following issues: the pressure of the water entering the reverse osmosis system has increased, while the pressure difference between stages remains unchanged (two stages in total). The water production volume has decreased, but the desalination rate is still within acceptable limits; the SDI value of the pre-treated water is also within normal ranges, and there are no significant changes in the quality of the water entering the system. Could everyone help me analyze the reasons behind this? Thank you all!

Could it be that the long-term water hammer has compressed the membrane? After membrane compaction, apart from a decrease in the standardized water production rate and an increase in the desalination efficiency, what is the change in pressure? Is it also the case that the pressure difference remains unchanged while the overall pressure rises? Thank you!
In winter, the water temperature is low, so of course the water inlet pressure increases! Check the records to see if this is the reason. For every 1-degree drop in temperature, the water volume can be reduced by 3%; this can be found in the technical data provided by membrane manufacturers.

Another point to note is whether there has been a change in the inlet pressure: that is, after the water production volume decreases, did anyone in the workshop increase the inlet pressure intentionally? If there is such a change, then all other data will no longer be representative!
The membrane is contaminated or clogged, causing pressure changes; cleaning is recommended.
It is possible to check the quality of the concentrated water; scaling may occur. Chemical cleaning and adjustment of operating parameters are recommended
