Our company’s UPS has been in use for over 3 years now, and we need to purchase some spare parts. I’m not sure what to buy I hope fellow netizens can offer some advice! Thank you!
For UPS power supplies, while spare parts for the batteries can be purchased, there are generally no spare parts available for the circuit boards. If one has sufficient skills in electronic maintenance, it is possible to repair some of the internal components, but the results are not very good or reliable. We have repaired power supplies before, but that is only as a temporary solution; it’s still better to replace them with new ones.
First is to regularly check the condition of the battery, such as periodically measuring its voltage and internal resistance; If the battery shows obvious signs of failure, it should be replaced immediately. For the internal electronic components of UPS, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer or other users regarding those components with a high failure rate.
It is recommended that the manufacturer provide a list of spare parts, so that purchases can be made selectively. Generally, cooling fans and power boards tend to break down, as do fuses.
Hello, may I ask what brand you are using? When purchasing a UPS, the buyer can be asked to provide a list of spare parts needed over 5 years, and things like insurance for the UPS should always be available ; The service life of capacitors and fans is 5 years ; Another point is whether the batteries used in the UPS are domestic or imported; some batteries need to be replaced every three years, and this is also related to the number of charge/discharge cycles they undergo.
