As mentioned above, ethylene plants are equipped with various supporting units, numbering over 10 in total, depending on the design plans; these units are designed to produce different downstream products. The largest ethylene plant in China at present is the one at Dushanzi Petrochemical in Xinjiang, with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons. It utilizes technology from German company Linde, and each unit has an annual processing capacity of 160,000 tons; this plant is already in operation. Currently, there is another plant under construction at Fushun Petrochemical with a capacity of 1 million tons. The Sichuan ethylene plant, with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons, as well as the Daqing plant with an annual capacity of 1 million tons, have also been approved for construction
