Current operating status of benzene dewaxing units in our country
The operation should be fine; the technology is mature； However, there is significant solvent leakage from the filters, and there are few manufacturers of such filters in China (few factories produce this type of filtering equipment; it is only found in lubrication systems). Furthermore, the current lubricant production processes mainly rely on the traditional methods, accounting for about 66%–75%; although there is a gradual shift toward hydrogenated oils, these traditional methods will not be phased out immediately.

We are still using it, but via the spraying method; we no longer use that approach now and have always used only the crystallization method.
It is generally done through crystallization filtration; the spray method has not been seen yet

Some benzene dewaxing and degumming units in the northeast have stopped working; it is likely due to the old age of these units and severe equipment wear, though there may be other reasons as well – it’s hard to say for sure. However, the old methods will be phased out sooner or later; catalytic dewaxing is the trend.
Four units: crystallization, freezing, filtration, and recovery. For the filters, we use Daor filters; for the compressors, we use Wu Leng models. The casing systems are from Lan Shi, and for air-cooled models we use Lan Ke ones. Later, due to corrosion-related leaks, the air-cooled systems were replaced with those using large-scale cooling systems
Heterogeneous dewaxing is also good, offering a higher yield compared to catalytic dewaxing
Our cophenyl dewaxing process is working well; it is used not only to produce raw materials for lubricants but also for low-viscosity diesel. Enterprises in the Northeast should use this process to manufacture low-viscosity diesel – it would be a shame to stop using it.
