I would like experts to discuss the following: For a circulating fluidized bed boiler (originally designed to use bituminous coal with a calorific value of 3263 kcal per unit, equipped with a high-temperature cyclone separator, operating at 2.5 MPa and using a medium-rate circulation system), when switching to use biogas (with a production rate of 500 cubic meters per hour), what considerations should be taken into account in terms of design and operation? In particular, how can overheating of the superheater be prevented?
The main points to note are: 1. Selecting the appropriate materials for the burners used in the furnace to prevent burnout and oxidation; 2. Preventing wear caused by flue gas vortices on the water-cooled wall tubes at the burner inlet; 3. Preventing backflow of biogas by installing flame arrestors; 4. Isolating the system during shutdown for maintenance
We have 220T CFB boilers that, after modification, now burn coke oven gas and blast furnace gas as well. After modifying a CFB boiler that was operating well by introducing gas combustion, it is necessary to ensure that backflow does not occur, as well as to take into account the impact of this modification on the boiler’s internal circulation; the wear of the boiler also changes as a result.
