The administrator’s post titled “Front-end Member Search Tool” at http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-304706-1-1.html is somewhat useful; it allows one to find basic information about members using their usernames, which is helpful for forum management. But personally, I think there is still room for improvement. Take this voting for outstanding members as an example: some people only provided their UID numbers, but to conduct the statistics it is necessary to find out their username. Going through each page of the member list is really troublesome; after searching for a long time, I found that this UID number wasn’t there, which was frustrating! It feels like a complete waste of time; if you don’t look for them, they vote, and after searching for ages you find that there’s no such person! Personal suggestion: 1. Add a member search function to the forum to facilitate management for everyone. 2. Searches can be performed in two ways: by username or UID, both of which allow access to the basic information of members.
Hehe, that’s how you search, then. I enter the username or VID that I know in the forum’s search field and click search; that way I can find the posts made by that member on the forum, and thus determine their VID or username. Of course, it would be even better if a member search function could be added, as the poster suggested
I support the moderators’ idea; it makes things easier for everyone, and the cleaners should take opinions into account.
I strongly agree with the original poster’s idea. It’s not easy to find members these days.
Hehe, I’ve actually made it to the management area – let’s post a filler post first! The poster’s suggestion is a good one, but it might not be easy to implement!
Study it to see if it’s possible to implement
