I would like to ask everyone: for straight-stem gate valves whose stems are exposed, is there any retractable protective sleeve available to prevent corrosion?
Just apply butter; there are also retractable plastic covers, but they aren’t very durable either.
If there are no special requirements for the medium valve, and the concern is merely the corrosion protection of the valve stem in outdoor applications, I usually ask the manufacturer to use 2Cr13 or 3Cr13 valve stems. The price won’t be much higher either.
