Discussion on the use of highly desulfurized iron oxide and zinc oxide

The service life is related to the design; coarse desulfurization agents are generally designed to last for four years, that is, 32,000 hours. Fine desulfurization agents, which serve as a critical element in the desulfurization process, are usually designed to last for six to seven years. Their lifespan is determined by the composition of the gases used. In normal circumstances, a coarse desulfurization agent needs to be replaced during each major maintenance cycle in a factory, while a fine desulfurization agent needs to be replaced every two such cycles. In abnormal situations, it depends on the usage. It can remove inorganic sulfur as well as trace amounts of organic sulfur; when the organic sulfur content is high, cobalt-molybdenum hydrogenation combined with zinc oxide desulfurization is used. There is a large price difference between the two; zinc oxide is more expensive.

I just want to know what the advantages and disadvantages are of zinc oxide and iron oxide in terms of their use by different companies
