Placement of valves (affected by operating temperature)

My supervisor said that below -50°C, the valve can only be installed on a vertical pipe and not horizontally. Could someone please explain to me why? Thank you
Under low-temperature conditions, water present before starting up or during operation can easily freeze at the lowest point of horizontally installed valves, causing damage to them; therefore, whenever possible, it is preferable to install them vertically.
Correction: the valve should be placed on a horizontal pipe

4# lim927 I know it can be modified, but someone has already replied, and their result is the opposite of mine; that’s why I wanted to emphasize this!

I don’t understand your question. Do you mean the installation of valves, or their storage? ?
