Example sentences: Any misalignment due to under toleranced connectors halves 12a-b may further increase the asymmetric forces and therefore the friction experienced by the valve packing 58. Translation by others: Any misalignment resulting from connector halves 12a-b being below the tolerance range may further increase the asymmetrical forces and thereby increase the friction experienced by the valve packing 58. Author's translation: Even within tolerances, a slight misalignment of the connector halves 12a-b may further increase the asymmetric forces on the valve packing 58 and the resulting friction. My own comment. A revised translation is not as good as the original translation. Under toleranced should mean "the tolerance is lacking". Similar usages include: undersized paper, under-o * dized is insufficiently oxidized, under-oxidized. The translation of underinflated tire as "even within the tolerance range" should be regarded as a serious error. The above is a paragraph I saw in a post, and I posted it for discussion with everyone. (Notice: All the black parts above are the content of the original post). I have reservations about the translation of this last person as under-toleranced.
under tolerance Negative tolerance---"Chemical Machinery Dictionary" The forum below has discussed this a lot, but I don't see the final conclusion. :dizzy: http://www.proz.com/forum/chinese/121234-%E5%AF%B9%E3%80%8A%E4%B8%93%E5%88%A9%E6%96%87%E7%8C%AE%E7%9A%84%E8%8B%B1%E6%B1%89%E7%BF%BB%E8%AF%91%E3%80%8B%E4%B8%80%E4%B9%A6%E4%B8%AD%E4%B8%80%E4%BA%9B%E4%BE%8B%E5%8F%A5%E7%9A%84%E5%95%86%E6%A6%B7-page2.html
-- Under tolerance is a negative tolerance, so does under toleranced definitely represent the original intention? In addition, logically speaking, I prefer to change the translation, emphasizing that within the tolerance range, deviation will also have consequences. --
I don't think it's quite right.
Haha, why do I think the translation is perfect!
This post was last edited by bamboobamboo on 2010-1-28 19:54. My personal understanding of under tolerated here and this sentence is: It is caused by the use of connectors with "low tolerance requirements". . . Any docking misalignment will increase further. . . asymmetric force. . .

Look at the entire text. If only positive deviations are allowed, or the above problems do not occur within the range of positive deviations, then the original translation is accurate.
