The catalyst used for desulfurization in our company was originally OMC produced by Changchun Normal University. Later, it was found that the efficiency had declined and was changed to PDS. The initial effect was good, but recently it was discovered that the color of the solution changed from light green to yellow to the current green jade color, and the salt content increased significantly. We discharged part of the solution , adding clean water, but there was no change, the regeneration efficiency decreased, the sulfur foam felt stale, increased the flow rate, increased the air volume of the regeneration tower, but there was no change, the outlet of the desulfurization tower was basically 70mg/Nm3. I wonder if colleagues in other units have encountered this situation and can give advice.
Do a pds component analysis to see if there are any problems. Some manufacturers have encountered them.
Row more auxiliary salt and see if the effect will be better.
Almost all the solutions have been replaced, but the effect is still not significant. There seems to be no problem with PDS, but the efficiency cannot be improved.
What is the inlet hydrogen sulfide? The amount of alkali and catalyst must be controlled. The ratio must be appropriate and not too much. In addition, the alkalinity of the regeneration tank must be controlled to ensure that too much alkali cannot be added.
The desulfurization effect of our plant using PDS catalyst is still satisfactory, especially in terms of improving solution quality and reducing tower resistance. Our plant has also encountered efficiency problems, but later it was found out that the reason was that our plant's filtration was not properly controlled. Sometimes increasing the amount of regeneration air does not necessarily improve the effect. First, there may be excessive oxidation. Second, it may affect the normal overflow of sulfur foam in the regeneration tank. Also check whether the temperature during regeneration is high, which is also an important reason for the production of secondary salts.
If the regeneration is not good, is there something wrong with the regeneration tower?
The regeneration tank we use, the Venturi tube self-priming air, may be at a low temperature, so the by-salt is produced relatively quickly.
