32174670 Recently, my supervisor asked me to develop standards for the coordination of process pipeline construction as well as for its inspection and acceptance. I have only been working for a few years and don’t have much experience in this area; I hope that experts can offer me some guidance. Thank you.
There is a lot of content, which should include the emptying, purging, cleaning, displacement, isolation of process equipment and pipelines, as well as safety inspections and safety management. Requirements for rust removal and cleaning of pipelines, as well as installation techniques during the construction process. Purging, airtightness testing, hydrostatic testing, flaw detection, etc. for new pipelines. For reference only!
There are acceptance standards for process pipelines in the industry; why is it necessary to create new ones? Each situation should be analyzed and handled on its own
I wonder if the owner’s pipes are above ground or buried; It’s the system used in the petrochemical industry, chemical manufacturing, and oil fields. Our oil fields generally use the construction and acceptance standards for petroleum and petrochemical pipelines ; In some chemical processing plant facilities, the pipelines use standards specific to the petrochemical and chemical industry ; Common standards and specifications include: SH T3517-2001 Standard for Construction Techniques of Steel Piping Projects in the Petrochemical Industry; SH3501-2002 Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Piping Projects for Highly Toxic and Flammable Media in the Petrochemical Industry; SY 4203-2007 Quality Acceptance Specifications for Construction of Petroleum and Natural Gas Projects – Process Piping Projects within Stations; SY 4204-2007 Quality Acceptance Specifications for Construction of Petroleum and Natural Gas Projects – Gathering and Transportation Piping Projects in Oil and Gas Fields; SY 4208-2008 Quality Acceptance Specifications for Construction of Petroleum and Natural Gas Projects – Pipeline Networks for Oil and Gas Transportation; GB50235-97 Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Industrial Metal Piping Projects; GB 50236-98 Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Welding Works on Field Equipment and Industrial Piping. In addition, there are also acceptance standards for the material used in pipelines. It should also be included in the scope of acceptance.
Just find information related to the acceptance criteria and write it down
There are many aspects to be checked during acceptance. In my opinion, as a supervisor or owner: 1. Verify the material quality of the pipes; 2. Verification of pipeline welding materials ; 3. Pipeline construction procedures (material cutting, groove preparation, welding, shaping of inner and outer surfaces, pre- and post-weld treatment, pre-weld treatment of welding materials, flaw detection, and heat treatment, etc.) ; 4. Review of pipeline construction acceptance documents ; 5. Record of pressure pipeline construction and acceptance certificate from the quality supervision department.
