A atmospheric pressure horizontal water-jacketed furnace (indirect heating furnace) designed in accordance with SY/T 5262-2000 \"Specifications for Tube-Type Heating Furnaces\", wherein: the furnace body (shell side): operates at atmospheric pressure, uses hot water as the working medium, and is designed in compliance with JB/T4735. Coil: The working medium is natural gas, with a working pressure of 7.5 MPa. The diameter of the U-coils is φ35x3.5 (5 sets in total), and the inlet and outlet of each U-coil are connected to two manifolds (φ219x20) respectively. P.V>2.5MPaL (where V includes the volume of the manifold + coil). Question: According to the \"Safety Technical Inspection Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels,\" does this heating furnace fall under Category II, or is it not subject to inspection?
This coil should fall under the scope of Category II inspections, but since the furnace operates at atmospheric pressure, many organizations fail to conduct inspections as if it were a pressure vessel!
The tube side should be of type 2, while the shell side operates at atmospheric pressure; they are designed and manufactured separately and require inspection
