I heard that Zhenhai Refining & Chemical in China is capable of manufacturing shell-and-tube heat exchangers. May I ask: are Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s shell-and-tube heat exchangers used in Linde’s low-temperature methanol washing process?
The coiled tubes used by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical are widely applied in methanol washing.
Our factory uses coil-type heat exchangers from Zhenhai Refining & Chemical.
The Linde process basically uses coil heat exchangers from Linde (Dalian), while the processes at Dalian University of Technology make more use of those from Zhenhai
Our factory uses Dalian Linde for multi-stream systems, and Zhenhai products for two-stream systems.
Nowadays, heat exchangers are all produced domestically; Zhenhai Refining & Chemical uses a large number of them, and Kaifeng also has a significant order volume, haha

Many small devices use the coil heat exchangers produced by Zhenhai Jianan Company, and they perform well. Whether the process package is from a domestic supplier or from Lurgi or Linde, it’s fine as long as no proprietary equipment manufacturer is specified. I’m not very familiar with whether large-scale plants with a capacity of over 900,000 tons per year of methanol use this technology; at present, most large-scale plants still use products from foreign suppliers or Linde in Dalian.
Our equipment just arrived yesterday; it’s from Dalian Linde. Hehe!
For a project I worked on earlier, the heat exchanger used was a coiled-tube heat exchanger from Zhenhai, and it was quite expensive
Coiled tube heat exchangers are already quite expensive; in comparison, those used by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical are relatively cheaper. I think, in terms of appearance, Dalian Linde looks more delicate than Zhenhai’s.
