Is there any company that uses gas film quenching for coke? How effective is it? How much does it cost to invest?
Never heard of a new method for quenching coke; give it a like
The coking plant of Xinjiang Bayi Iron and Steel Company seems to be using it; the investment involved is not large, as it merely involves adding a certain chemical to the quenching water. The chemical manufacturer conducted tests at our factory, but in the end we didn’t use their product – it’s quite expensive. As for the effect? It seems there was a bit, but I’m not sure either, because when they were conducting their experiments, we didn’t take it seriously at all; we just lent them a place to carry out their tests.
